Pocket Inventory Buddy

Terms of Service

Effective date and last updated:

1. Who provides the App and when these terms apply

PESystems LLC (“we,” “us” or “our”) develops and publishes Pocket Inventory Buddy (the “App”). These Terms of Service govern your use of the App. Please read them before downloading, installing or using it. By doing so after having an opportunity to review these terms, you agree to them to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use the App; any applicable refund or consumer rights remain available.

You must be legally able to enter this agreement, or use the App with a parent or guardian's authorization where permitted by law. If you use it for an organization, you must have authority to accept these terms for that organization.

2. What the App does and its limits

The App helps you organize item records, quantities, photos, storage locations, barcodes, QR labels and activity history on Android. It is also called Pocket Inventory in the privacy policy. These terms apply to Pocket Inventory Buddy only.

Check item details, scanned codes, quantity changes and labels for accuracy. A QR label identifies a matching record in a device's existing App data; it does not upload that record or provide access to an online inventory. Sharing a label does not transfer your inventory database.

The App is an organizational aid. It does not independently verify ownership, condition, value, stock levels or regulatory compliance. Keep supporting documents and physical counts where needed, and do not rely on the App alone for accounting, insurance, legal evidence or safety-critical stock decisions.

3. Your license and permitted use

Subject to these terms and any applicable purchase, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to install and use the App for lawful personal or internal business purposes on compatible devices as permitted by Google Play. The App is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors retain rights in the software, design and other App materials; you retain rights in your own data.

Do not unlawfully copy, resell or distribute the App, bypass licensing or security controls, use it to access information without permission, or infringe others' rights. Restrictions on reverse engineering or modification apply only where lawful and do not override statutory rights or licenses for included open-source components.

4. Your data, security and responsibilities

Your inventory records and photos remain yours. Enter or share only information you have the right to use. The App stores records locally and does not require a PESystems LLC account or provide a cloud backup or synchronization service. Its previous-file backup is on the same device and is not protection against losing that device or clearing its data.

Maintain independent records of important inventory. Clearing app storage or uninstalling normally removes local App data, and we cannot retrieve it from our servers. Editing a record may leave earlier values in activity history or a local backup; photos and labels saved or shared outside the App must be managed separately.

The current App relies on operating-system storage protections and does not add a separate inventory password or its own file-encryption layer. Protect your device. Camera and photo access are used for features you choose; denying permission can limit those features. Review photos, labels and sharing destinations before sharing them.

Our App Privacy Policy explains data handling, permissions, retention and deletion. These terms do not grant us ownership of your data or permission to use it beyond what that policy and applicable law allow.

5. Prices, purchases and refunds

The Google Play listing and checkout show the price, applicable taxes, compatibility and purchase conditions before you buy. Google Play handles payments made through its billing system under its applicable terms. These terms alone do not create a subscription or recurring charge; any optional future paid offering requires its own clear purchase information and authorization.

For a purchase issue, use Google Play's refund process or contact us at ecklerpa@pesystemsllc.com. Refund eligibility depends on your transaction, location, store policy and applicable law. Store refund windows do not remove statutory remedies, and we remain responsible for obligations applicable to us as the App provider.

Where a cooling-off or withdrawal right applies, it is preserved unless the law permits its loss and all required consent, acknowledgment and confirmation steps have occurred. Merely accepting these terms does not waive that right.

6. Google Play and other services

Google Play, Android, your device manufacturer and any services you choose to open or use have their own terms and privacy policies. You are responsible for your device and any network charges. These App terms are between you and PESystems LLC; they do not replace your agreement with Google or impose our obligations on Google. Third-party terms do not remove our own legal responsibilities.

7. Compatibility, updates and support

Check the current store listing for supported devices and Android versions. Features may vary by version. We may update the App for security, compatibility, bug fixes or functionality. Install updates needed for safe and proper operation, and follow any related instructions.

We will supply updates, notices and remedies required by law or an express commitment made at purchase. Beyond those obligations, a purchase does not promise indefinite support, compatibility with every future device or operating system, or every future feature. If we make a change that materially harms your access or use, we will provide notice and any right to reject the change, end the contract or obtain a remedy required by law.

8. Stopping use and ending this agreement

You may stop using and uninstall the App at any time. Protect or preserve important data first using the options your App version supports. Uninstalling does not by itself request a refund or remove files you shared or saved outside the App.

We may end your license for a material breach of these terms, with notice and a reasonable opportunity to correct the breach where appropriate and legally required. These terms do not authorize us to remotely access or erase your locally stored data. Ending the agreement does not remove accrued rights, refund obligations or mandatory rights to retrieve data where applicable.

9. Your statutory consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This includes applicable protections for digital content to be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for a legally protected purpose, required updates, and remedies for defects or failure to supply.

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction with mandatory protections, those protections apply despite any other wording here. Depending on applicable law, remedies may include correction, repair, replacement, a price reduction, termination, a refund or compensation. Contact us to report a problem; you do not have to give up a right to seek help from a regulator or court.

10. Warranties and reasonable expectations

Subject to the consumer rights above and any binding description or express promise, the App is supplied on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent allowed by law. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation or a particular outcome from your use. These qualifications do not excuse a failure to meet mandatory standards of quality, security, reasonable care or other non-excludable obligations.

11. Responsibility for loss

We do not exclude or limit liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, willful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

For consumers, we remain responsible for losses for which applicable law makes us responsible, including reasonably foreseeable loss caused by our breach or failure to use required care. The business-only limits below do not apply to consumers and do not remove statutory remedies for damage to devices or other digital content.

If you use the App for business purposes, and only to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost revenue or business interruption. Subject to the exceptions above, our total liability to that business arising from the App or these terms is limited to the greater of US $100 or the amount that business paid for the App in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms to reflect changes in the App, the law or our operations. We will publish the revised version at this URL with an updated date and provide additional notice or obtain agreement where required. Changes apply prospectively; posting a revision alone does not retroactively alter an existing purchase or remove accrued rights. If agreement to a material change is required, it takes effect for you only after that agreement has been obtained.

13. Questions and disputes

Please contact us if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it. Contacting us first is not a condition for exercising statutory rights. Applicable law determines which laws and courts govern a dispute; nothing here removes mandatory protections or access to courts available where you live. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful.

14. Contact PESystems LLC

For support, complaints, purchase questions or questions about these terms, identify the App and send us a description of the issue. Include the App version and, for purchase issues, the relevant Google Play order reference. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
